How to Get that “Bikini Bod”
With the summer holidays fast approaching, it’s no surprise that we are probably already obsessing about our “bikini bod.” But what is a bikini bod anyway? We are constantly being told that a bikini bod is a skinny, size 6 with abs to match and a bum that is perky and sits perfectly in cheeky bikini bottoms. Who is society and the media to say that our bodies aren’t bikini bodies?
Most bikini bod workouts are created to exploit women’s insecurities; to bring you down for not having what society sees as “the perfect body”. Here at Pink Clove we’ve decided that there is no perfect body.
While we do cater to plus size 16-28 size women, we acknowledge all body types. Every body type is unique and every body shape is special. We want to encourage self-love and complete body confidence and good health.
So please, stop looking at magazines and start looking in the mirror. Your body is perfect and your body is beautiful. You are an individual with fabulous features and your own sense of style. You don’t need to be stick-thin to have a bikini bod.
To have a bikini bod, simply put on a bikini. Wear whatever you feel attractive in. What makes you feel sexy and confident? A sport one-piece? A high-waisted bikini? A tunic? Whatever the case, if you are comfortable and happy with being yourself, you are the owner of your own bikini bod; a bikini bod that no one – not society, the media, or anyone else – can take from you.
So if you’re plus size and looking at this season’s hottest swimming costumes, and if you’re trying to convince yourself that you could never pull that off, you’re wrong. If this is the bikini that you fancy, and if this is the bikini that gives you confidence, then go for it.
